FAQ — Garage Cleaning Questions Answered | Clean My Dirty Garage

Question 1

How much does a garage cleaning cost?

Accepted Answer

Every garage is different, so we don't publish flat rates — but most residential garage cleanings fall between $150 and $500 depending on size, level of clutter, and the services needed (basic cleaning vs. deep scrub vs. full junk removal). We provide free, no-obligation quotes within 24 hours. Just call or fill out our contact form.

Question 2

Is the quote really free? Are there any hidden fees?

Accepted Answer

Yes, completely free and no obligation. We'll assess the job, give you a clear price, and you decide whether to book. The price we quote is the price you pay — no surprise charges on the day of service.

Question 3

Do you charge extra for junk removal or hauling?

Accepted Answer

Junk hauling is a separate service with its own pricing based on volume and weight. We'll include it in your quote upfront so you know exactly what to expect. There are no day-of surprises.

Question 4

Do you offer any discounts?

Accepted Answer

We offer preferred pricing for realtors and agents who refer multiple listings per year, and occasional seasonal promotions. Call us to ask about current offers — we're always happy to work with repeat customers.

Question 5

How long does a typical garage cleaning take?

Accepted Answer

Most residential garage cleanings take between 2 and 6 hours depending on size and condition. A basic single-car garage sweep and mop might take 2 hours; a heavily cluttered two-car garage with floor degreasing and junk removal could take a full day. We'll give you a time estimate when we quote the job.

Question 6

Do I need to remove my belongings before you arrive?

Accepted Answer

No — that's our job. You don't need to move anything before we arrive. We'll sort through items with you (or according to your instructions), set aside what you want to keep, and haul away what you don't. If you'd like to pre-sort before we come, that can sometimes reduce the time and cost, but it's never required.

Question 7

What exactly does a garage cleaning include?

Accepted Answer

Our standard cleaning includes sweeping and mopping the floor, wiping down surfaces, removing cobwebs, and hauling away any trash or debris. Deep cleaning adds floor degreasing and scrubbing. We also offer organizing and shelving installation as an add-on. Everything is spelled out in your quote before we start.

Question 8

Will you clean the garage floor, including oil stains?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Floor degreasing and oil stain removal is one of our most popular services. We use professional-grade degreasers and scrubbing equipment to tackle years of buildup. Severe stains may require multiple treatments — we'll be upfront about what's achievable during the quoting process.

Question 9

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. Many customers give us access and go about their day. We just need a way to reach you if questions come up. We're fully insured and background-checked, so you can feel confident leaving us to work.

Question 10

What areas of Indianapolis do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We serve Indianapolis and the greater metro area, including Carmel, Fishers, Westfield, Zionsville, Noblesville, Greenwood, Avon, Plainfield, and Brownsburg. If you're not sure whether we cover your neighborhood, just call — we'll let you know right away.

Question 11

Do you serve areas outside of Indianapolis?

Accepted Answer

We primarily serve the Indianapolis metro area. For locations further out, we may be able to accommodate depending on the size of the job and scheduling. Give us a call and we'll do our best to help.

Question 12

How quickly can you schedule a cleaning?

Accepted Answer

We can typically schedule within 3–5 business days. For urgent needs — like a pre-listing cleanout — call us directly and we'll do our best to accommodate a faster turnaround.

Question 13

Do you work on weekends?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we offer weekend appointments. Availability varies by season, so we recommend booking a few days in advance to secure your preferred time.

Question 14

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Accepted Answer

Life happens. Just give us at least 24 hours' notice and we'll reschedule at no charge. Last-minute cancellations may be subject to a small fee — we'll always be upfront about our policies when you book.

Question 15

Are you licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We are fully licensed, bonded, and insured. Our team members are background-checked. You can hand us the keys with confidence.

Question 16

What if something gets damaged during the cleaning?

Accepted Answer

We take great care with your belongings, but accidents can happen. Because we're fully insured, any damage caused by our team is covered. We'll handle it promptly and professionally.

Question 17

What is your satisfaction guarantee?

Accepted Answer

If you're not satisfied with the results, we'll come back and re-clean the areas in question at no additional charge. We stand behind our work — no questions asked.
